Laird Eddy

President
William has been a fundraiser since 1993 and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (C.F.R.E.). He is a member in good standing of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (A.F.P.). His expertise includes direct mail fundraising and database analytics.
In addition to his work for Gryphon Fundraising William also serves as the Director of Development for a homeless shelter in the nation's capital where he has grown a direct mail program from a few hundred thousand dollars to over five million annually. William has also overseen the creation of Major Gift and Legacy Giving programs.
William believes that good fundraising is 50% relationship building and 50% research. His experience and successes led him to create the Gryphon Report so that others could share in the advantages that come from knowing how to target key donors through the use of donor analytics.
Samantha Laprade
Marketing Director
Samantha began her fundraising career in 1991. She has worked in all aspects of fundraising including legacy giving, capital campaigns, direct mail and special events. Samantha’s experience also includes media relations and public relations.
Currently Samantha is the Legacy Giving Officer at a homeless shelter in Ottawa. Sam has also worked for the Ottawa Humane Society, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation and the Easter Seals Society.
Samantha has a passion for connecting donors to the needs of the community. Personally Sam has witnessed the results from the Gryphon Report and feels strongly about sharing this incredible tool with all fundraising professionals.
She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).
